Wardrobe Planning Tips

Below are helpful tips in helping you plan for your Wardrobe Storage Solutions.  Think of your needs and consider your room size and available space.  If you desire, draw a little sketch of what you are considering and this will aid in the consulting/design stage for Classique Design Cabinets & Wardrobes to achieve the best storage solutions within your budget.

The width range of a wardrobe can vary from 900 mm wide to 5000 mm - thus consider the size of your room

Wardrobe height can be up to 2700 mm
(ornate plaster cornices are a valuable feature to a home so its wise in older homes to design wardrobes which will retain the character and beauty of the original plaster work)

Wardrobe depth for Sliding Doors is 650 mm this prevents clothes from getting caught in doors whereas Hinged Wardrobe Doors only require 600 mm depth.

Wardrobe Door finishes depend on width allowance, internal layout and room's layout.  Hinged Wardrobe Doors must not obstruct light fittings, furniture or open onto doorways.

Typical height of top shelf to allow for double hanging allowance is 2000 mm or 2100mm within a wardrobe.

Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or suggestions on further information you'd like to see online.

Your one call away from realising an uncluttered household.
